Tuuli Sonninen, an early stage researcher, completed her secondment from UEF to ELVESYS on topic of ‘Pilot platform design’.
During her secondment, Tuuli was trained in microfabrication, which included mold production and development, and optimization of the membranes for organ on chip — model, since the chip design was still under development. The chip model could resolve the problems related to shear stress, sample volumes, and readjustments in macro-scale set-ups.
