Türkay Şi̇mşek, an early stage researcher, completed his secondment from YEDITEPE to ELVESYS on topic of ‘Pilot platform design’.
With Prof. Rashid Giniatullin and Prof. Pavle Andjus, Türkay made several preliminary drawings for the chip design. Subsequently when Aleksa Marković came to ELVESYS, they made together some changes in the chip. Namely, Aleksa modified the design of the cell compartment with the purpose of growing cells inside the chip without being affected by any external factor or by flow in the chip.
